K.O'C. ENGINEERING
Description: This is a 4400 square feet new single family dwelling
recreation level, bedroom level, and entry level. The framing consists of
TJI joists, Parallam beams, 2x’s and 3x4 stud walls with plywood and
exterior stucco. The challenge here is the two-car garage at the top floor.
We used Parallam beams and truss joist to avoid heavy duty steel beams.
Although the interior layout is spacious, we were able to avoid moment
frames by tying the building together using special details such as
amplified beams, holdowns, and straps.
